I WILL Update… Eventually

If we weren’t in the middle of a heat wave that has turned my apartment, particularly my office, into a sauna, I would be able to sit here for a long time and write a real update. I would be able to tell you about how well my Quantum Release Therapy is going now and the improvements I’m noticing. I’d be able to tell you about how my mom spent the weekend here, and despite the heat, we managed to clean out and organize my closets. I’d be able to tell you about my shift in attitude about myself and my body. I’d be able to tell you that most of my windows are now covered with tinfoil and how attractive that is from the outside. I would be able to tell you about all my new Ebay clothes that have arrived, how much I am looking forward to this weekend, and how cute my cats are (because you never hear that).
However, there shall be none of that talk, because it is just too hot and I can’t sit here for long; I need to lay down with a fan blowing directly on me 234536546757 times/day. I need an air conditioner… there are only so many trips to the mall a woman can take.
In the meantime, here is a video of the Polyjesters from the Lilac Festival in May. It’s a part of their performance of St. James Infirmary (I love it when Jason does the Louis Armstrong impression!) and I get a kick out of the drunk dancing lady.
I thought you were done with Quantum release? Or are you back at it?
Last Friday was “possibly” my final session, because the week before Kevin was really frustrated because there was some blockage he couldn’t get through and things were “stuck” so he figured we’d try one more. Last week went REALLY well, it was so cool, so I’m going again next week (taking this week off).
And YOU’RE supposed to be vacationing in Vietnam, not hanging out on the internet!
Hey Donna. You know, I used to HATE Winter, but now it’s my favourite season. You’ll never catch me complaining about the cold like everyone else. You have my sympathies about the heat wave. Not fun. Glad to hear that the Quantum stuff is working, though!
Wow for once Winnipeg has the nicer weather, lol. We’ve actually had really nice weather here, bearable even. I had heard it had been really hot in Calgary but I didn’t believe it was THAT hot until I’ve now heard it from a former Winnipegger, lol, only a former Winnipegger can truly understand heat and humidity, lol. You know us and our weather we like to talk and complain about it because hey….it’s all we’ve got! Well that and baseball

Oh, I am. Last night and the next two, however, we have been “upgraded” to a resort instead of just a regular hotel. It comes with an hour of free internet per day. Although when I paid to use an internet cafe in Vietnam, it cost me a grand total of 25 CENTS for an hour. I could get used to those prices!!
Anyway, I am off to cooking school soon. We go to the market to get the stuff, then to a restaurant to learn how to prepare it and then we eat! After that, I am off to the tailor’s to pick up my custom-made dress and pants. And then it’s back to the hotel for some air conditioning!!! If you want to appreciate the heat wave in Calgary, just spend a few days in Vietnam and it will seem like winter there! LOL
