Can You Hear Me Now?

A little birdie told me “update your blog”, and always one to follow orders , I figured I would.

Hopefully something interesting will jump into my brain while I’m typing, because there’s nothing pressing me to write about it at the moment. Not that that has ever stopped me before.

Have you seen Jakalope’s website? Freaky, man. If you like to spend hours trying to figure out how to break into parts of a website, and solve riddles, well, this is the site for you. Personally, I don’t. I don’t have that kind of patience! I waited until someone gave me instructions on how to get into one part of it, and the answer to the riddle, and went in. Easy as pie. When I try to find things on my own, I don’t get very far! I am, however, very excited about getting my CD. I pre-ordered it a few weeks ago and I SHOULD have it by now, so hopefully tomorrow. I heard most of the CD when I was in Toronto at the Orange studios, and it is one of those CD’s you hear a song from and just go, “holy F’in’ shit”.

My week has been full of work, work, work. Mostly from home, which is my favourite kind. I can stay in my flannels all day if I want to! Get up, put on the coffee, and just go at it. And it hit me this week, as I was invoicing these clients, that considering I have access to some of their online bank accounts to pay their bills and taxes, I can also pay myself via an email money transfer rather than waiting for them to mail me a cheque and then get it to the bank. I can’t believe I never thought of that before! So now I am being instantly paid by a fast and easy transfer right into my bank account. Woo hoo! Of course, my clients are aware I am doing this. As much as I could be tempted to pay off my OWN Visa bill while paying off theirs, I would never!!!

I have 3 scratches on the back of my neck… it looks like a cat clawed across the back of my neck, 3 even lines about 2 inches long. Unlike my zits, I am not naming them after Hobbits. And, unlike my zits, I have no clue how they got there. Really, these scratches have absolutely nothing to do with zits. Moving on…

Oh! Perhaps I narrowly escaped a vampire last night. Heh.

I have been listening to CHUM FM Toronto online because I had this feeling they would be playing Lindy’s “Beautifully Undone” this hour. I was a little off, time wise, but they DID play it after listening for about *cough*3*cough* hours. I had to suffer through Cher, that “Party for Two” Shania song, Nelly and a bunch of other crap I never want to hear again, but you know, it was worth it because hearing him on a major radio station just makes me smile . Now I can go back to Kitchen Radio, where I belong.

How many people have bought Halloween candy to give away, but have already eaten it all, so you have to go buy more?? I guess that’s why so many people give away stupid candy nobody likes, like the generic chewy black candies that stick to the wrapper. So they won’t be tempted to eat it before the big day and then they can toss the leftovers without a second thought.

(I was not referring to myself in the above. I live in an apartment and don?t get trick or treaters, so I haven’t bought any candy. I was just thinking out loud as usual. Plus, I am on Day Twelve of counting Weight Watcher’s Points, thankyouverymuch).

I watched the lunar eclipse last night. It looked like the moon was getting wrapped up in an orange blanket. I love the moon. I’ve never been into astronomy or anything to do with space and the ‘world out there’, but I sure do love looking at that moon.
