Updates!

h1 August 20th, 2004

I was reading over some past entries and I realized I should do some updating because I know you’re all dying to know the outcomes of things I’ve written about. Well, I am here to ease your troubled minds ;)

Releasing The Need - July 23

Ohhh I have lived yet another example of ‘when someone shows you who they are, believe them’? Someone showed me who they are a few months ago, and I didn’t believe them. I’ve had a funny feeling ever since, but I pushed it aside and told myself I was just being silly. I even pushed the gut feelings away when they were really strong last month and I was panicking about it. I had myself convinced it would be okay and to not worry about it. Well, luckily, it all came to a head now and not later, and it’s all good. Great, actually. Took me a few months, but I finally realized what my gut was telling me was right (again, as always, hellooooooooo McFly, anyone home???) Oh yes, and the karmic energy?? Getting better every day!! :D

He Said- - July 23

Never heard a peep from this guy, as I expected (although deep down I hoped it would be different). I was bummed at the time, but I rarely think about it anymore. Funny how that happens when you’re busy! C’est la vie, life goes on.

House Concerts - July 30

I passed the name of the guy who held this house concert on to Jim Bryson, who has already made contact. Hopefully Jim will be performing there in the future! I’ll let you all know if he is. It was a great time, and it will be a blast if Jim does one too! He’s awesome, and so funny too. I love his self-deprecating humour…

Untitled Day in the life entry (Can’t link ‘em if they’re not titled… oops) - July 30

I bought my chair! It’s like this, but it’s black and it’s Roots! :D

Back on Track - August 2

Well I know I went OFF track the days Dana was here with Krispy Kreme, Purdy’s, Olive Garden, Santa Fe Grill, etc. but I’m doing good again. In fact, I have made a conscious choice to make sure I am as healthy as I possibly can be for my trip to Toronto next month, so I have been mostly eating fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, whole grains and lean meats. I am waiting for the sugar withdrawals to kick in and make me crazy, but so far so good.

Shocking, horrifying and unimaginable - August 13

Update and more about the life of Gayle Grinds HERE

Google is Good - August 16

I never heard back from those bands about Sean (I am assuming they or he read my email and thought -WHY?… psycho!) but I am 100% positive he has got to be in The Shovels. It was entertaining for me to reminisce though, and Googling him gave me a fun way to procrastinate my business plan, but I think I’ll leave it at that! If he had responded out of curiosity, I would have tried my best to remind him who I was and how we met (maybe just send him here to read the entry!) but since he didn’t I
ll leave it alone and just look back fondly on that experience. Oh, and if ‘The Shovels’ ever tour out here I’ll surely go see them!

Update on the update - just received an email from Random Killing, a really nice one actually, and this guy said Sean recently quit the place he was working at so he’s going to ask the other clowns about contact info. He told me Sean is in a band called “Dodge Fiasco” with his brother (personally I think that is outdated information, being the Internet Search Queen I am), and if I can find their email, it would go to his brother because Sean doesn’t know how to work a computer. LOL! I’ve also heard from another guy that is going to pass my email address on to Sean via his brother, and “we’ll see what we can do about getting him in front of a computer”. Hee!

People? People Who Need People - - August 19

Okay I know this was just yesterday, so how much could have possibly happened to update? Well not much, really, but I mentioned the “money coming from somewhere” thing? and #1) a client just dropped off a LOAD of work for me tonight; and #2) I got a call out of the blue from CIBC Visa, ‘you have been pre-approved blah blah blah…’ for once I listened to the whole spiel. I signed up for the card, had my interview, got approved on the spot and ‘your card will be there in 7-10 days’. Okay, okay, I KNOW a Visa card isn’t the answer and will only land me in further debt (my other Visa? Over its limit, thankyouverymuch) but for my trip??? COULD NOT have come at a better time. One of my main concerns was making enough money to plop on my Visa to get it under its limit so I’d have room for my hotel and a few other things in Toronto. (I mean, credit card debt really is a way of life for me, I don’t sweat it). Now I don’t have to worry!!! I still intend on making more actual CASH between now and then, but maybe now I won’t have to ask a couple clients for advances like I was going to. This timing totally rocks. This trip and all the plans surrounding it is working out so freakin’ awesome I could just explode!!! :D :D :D

One comment to “Updates!”
