I found this site and thought the idea was interesting and worthwhile, so I decided to go for it. Since the tasks must be specific and measurable, I have added “for 30 days” to some of the goals. This gives me a chance to break things up… do one thing for 30 days in March, and another in October or something. Not DO ALL THIS AT ONCE NOW AND FOREVER OR YOU ARE A FAILURE AND YOU SUCK WHY DO YOU EVEN BOTHER?!?!?! Which is my usual approach.

101 Things in 1001 Days

Start: December 27, 2006
Completion by: September 23, 2009

Health, Fitness and Aesthetics

1. Lose the excess weight
2. Get back into doing deep water workouts 2X/week
3. Create a small daily exercise regime and stick with it for 30 days
4. Get a professional massage
5. Drink 4 litres of water every day for two weeks
6. Dance again!
7. Get new glasses that are funky and different than what I would ever normally wear
8. Treat myself to a Spa Day
9. Work up to being able to walk to Wal-Mart and back
10. Do parts of my Gentle Fitness DVD and/or Yoga for MS video once/week (starting after I’ve been going at the simple exercises for awhile)
11. Take vitamins and supplements every day for a month
12. Stop using anti-depressants
13. Stop needing medication to fall asleep
14. Use my facial mud masks every week for 2 months
15. Do a water fast one day a week for a month
16. January, 2008: Daily exercises… small stretches and stuff

Financial

17. Pay off my Sears card first (woo hoo! 4/23/07)
18. Pay off my Bay card second
19. Pay off my CIBC Visa card third
20. Pay down my Royal Bank Visa considerably!
21. Increase my monthly RRSP contributions
22. Save $1 a day for 1001 days ($345 to Nov. 30/07 so far)
23. Roll all the coins in my change vase and put it towards travel
24. Pay my chiropractor a little bit every time I go
25. Create a realistic budget and follow it for 30 days and see how it goes
26. Make the necessary calls/write the necessary letters to get my apartment rent subsidized

Around the Home

27. Re-decorate my bedroom (not the furniture, just the accessories and colours)
28. Research and join a new DVD rental club (by mail) and catch up on my movie watching! (Oops, this is in the wrong category, but I am not re-numbering everything to move it! Anyway, I joined cinemail.ca)
29. Re-organize the bookshelf in my bedroom and make it for “books only”
30. Go through all my cupboards, drawers and closets and THROW SHIT OUT (or donate or sell, if applicable).I’m actually almost done this!
31. Go through all my old VHS tapes and label them or toss them
32. Buy a new CD/DVD storage unit and sort my CDs/DVDs
33. Put all my photos and picture CDs into boxes
34. Get rugs shampooed
35. Read about and learn some Flylady techniques
36. June, 2008: Eat out/order in no more than 2X per week!!
37. Own a real big, gorgeous, expensive duvet
38. Go through make-up and bathroom stuff; throw out what I don’t use or is too old Haha I did it but I need to do it again!

Personal Growth, Development and Connection

39. Read all the books I own and have never read
40. Create a loving, connected and healthy relationship with a great guy!!
41. Choose an affirmation and say it 100 times/day, every day, for a month
42. Turn 40 gracefully, looking and feeling better than I have in years (let’s just say I turned 40 lol)
43. Send a postcard to PostSecret
44. Write an “unsent letter” to my father and relieve myself of some baggage (Taken care of with Quantum Release Therapy)
45. Write a letter/send a card to Grandma
46. Spend one evening a week (from 5:00 pm) not going near my computer for any reason for 4 weeks (or longer!)
47. Spend that same evening with the phones unplugged/turned off
48. Make some new friends in the same city as me!
49. Re-connect with Eric
50. Re-connect with some old friends I haven’t been in touch with for years
51. Do my Tony Robbins program!
52. Give therapy a good shot
53. Comment to every “friend” on my Facebook account
54. Send at least 20 e-cards to friends and family just because (9 sent)
55. Answer all my email currently in my inbox and respond to future emails within 3 days of receiving it

Spiritual

56. Meditate every day for 30 days
57. Connect with my “higher self” regularly (at least once/day)
58. Finish learning about Islam
59. Okay - I had “Read the Bible” here at first, but in reality there is no way I will be able to do that as well as read all the books I own and haven’t read yet (there are sooooo many). So I am changing this to “watch Passion of the Christ“.

Entertainment, Travel and Fun

60. Go on an all-inclusive one-week vacation somewhere warm
61. Go camping at an accessible campground
62. Spend that $1001 I saved on professional *glamour*-type photos, and the rest towards travel
63. Listen to all the CDs I own and haven’t listened to yet!
64. Buy a cool purse/bag hand made by a Canadian designer
65. Go on a picnic
66. Dress up for Halloween
67. Go back to Montreal and Toronto (Went Sept/07!)
68. Start saving/planning to go back to New Zealand
69. Use the Starbuck’s free beverage coupon Ken gave me months ago
70. Take a trip to Winnipeg and catch up with family
71. Attend a cocktail party wearing a real cocktail dress
72. Host a party
73. Go to a real sushi restaurant
74. Have my picture taken with Santa
75. Attend a book reading/signing by an author
76. Eat my entire Vietnamese dinner with chopsticks (left hand)
77. Watch “Kingdom of Heaven” all the way through
78. Download all the great old jazz songs I lost when my hard drive burped
79. Arrange for an accessible taxi to take me and my scooter downtown and back one day in the summer
80. Go to the Calgary Stampede again, I haven’t been in many years
81. Learn to use my digital camera and create a “day in the life” blog entry with pictures right here!

Work

82. Create media database for press contacts I did one but it changes so much it’s no good now lol)

84. Organize and do all the filing in my office and keep it that way for 30 days
85. Don’t procrastinate work and do it when I receive it over the next few months (the busy season)
86. Wake up early, shower and dress by 9:00 on most days I work at home during the busy season (I did good!)

Contribution

87. Start a regular volunteer position in an area close to my heart
88. Upload my remaining MS With Attitude newsletters
89. Write another MS With Attitude newsletter
90. Plan another “Pay it Forward” project to benefit children
91. Write a letter to the Editor (of a newspaper or something) (July 5/07 about this horribly stereotypical article) And they printed it! Last letter on this page

93. Write nice things on napkins and put them back in the holder at Tim Horton’s
94. Write an article about what I know best and get it published (My MS story was published at Women’s Health Matters in Feb/07 - that counts until I get something newer done!

97. Go to the bank and change my signature permanently to something easy
98. Learn to write a bit with my left hand
